- “School” – A workspace created on Hischool by a user or organization

By accessing or using Hischool, you agree that:
- You meet the minimum age requirements to use the Service

These Terms apply to all users, including learners, teachers, administrators, and organization owners.
3. What Hischool Is
Hischool is an education network that enables people and organizations to create schools, run learning, collaborate, and learn together in one connected platform.
Features may include:
- Messaging (DMs, group messages)
- Groups and channels
- Schools, courses, and events
- Roles and permissions
- File sharing and media uploads
- Web, desktop, and mobile apps
4. Accounts & Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and all activities under your account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your password secure
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach
We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized account access resulting from your failure to secure your account.
5. Schools, Roles & Responsibility
If you create or manage a School on Hischool:
- You are responsible for the content, members, and activities in that School
- You control roles, permissions, and access levels
- You must ensure your School complies with applicable laws
Hischool does not moderate private Schools unless required by law or reported for abuse.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of the Content you upload, but you grant us a limited license to host, store, and display it for the purpose of operating the Service.
You agree that:
- You own or have permission to use the Content you upload
- Your Content does not violate laws or third-party rights
- You are responsible for all Content you share
We may remove Content that violates our Community Guidelines or applicable laws.
7. Prohibited Use
You may not use Hischool to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Harass, abuse, or harm others
- Share illegal or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
- Disrupt or damage the Service
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access without notice if:
- You violate these Terms or Community Guidelines
- We are legally required to do so
- Your actions may cause harm to others or the platform
You may delete your account at any time.
9. Third-Party Services & Links
Hischool may contain links to external websites or services we do not control.
We are not responsible for third-party content, privacy policies, or practices.
Use third-party services at your own risk.
10. Service Availability & Warranty
Hischool is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted service
- Error-free operation
- Data retention without backup
You are responsible for backing up your own data.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
When we do:
- We will update the “Last updated” date
- We will notify you via email or in-app notice (when appropriate)
Changes usually take effect 30 days after posting.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hischool Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
